The 154th Open Championship took place from July 16–19, 2026, at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. Returning to the renowned links venue, the championship brought together leading professional and amateur golfers to compete over four rounds for the Claret Jug and the title of Champion Golfer of the Year.
Royal Birkdale's dune-lined fairways, deep bunkers and exposed coastal conditions provided a distinctive setting for the 2026 edition.
